OUR MISSION
Encore is geared to help every dancer reach their full potential. Every member is encouraged to help their fellow dancers, always give their best and be respectful to others. Encore teachers and students together believe the essential ingredients for success are TEAMWORK and a strong DESIRE to work hard to ACHIEVE goals.
Encore instructors feel that every lesson is part of a curriculum that includes strengthening, stretching, conditioning, and learning intricate combinations that will improve each dancer’s overall technical ability. The Encore dancer is held to a high standard of excellence that ensures their personal growth, enhances self worth and confidence while encouraging a positive attitude and, above all, a LOVE for DANCE.
BILLING
Each month you will receive your bill by email. Please check the news page regularly for important postings and information. The home page lists all important dates and holiday closings. Email is the primary form of contact, so please provide an email address. If class is ever canceled because of weather, you will be notified by email.
The first month’s tuition is due by August 1st and non‐ refundable after September 15th. Tuition charges will be divided into ten payments and are due on the 1st of each month. Each month your bill will be sent via email and can be paid online with debit/credit card. If you choose to pay by check, please send payments to 2122 Columbiana Road Vestavia Hills, AL 35216.
Late payments will incur a 10% late charge if received after the 11th day of the month. There is a $35 fee on returned checks. To avoid late penalties, enrolling in the recurring payment option is strongly suggested. Accounts will be charged the full balance on the first day of every month. If you wish to pay the entire year in advance, you will receive 5% off the year’s tuition.
CLASSES
Technique and Combination classes are offered for ages two through adult. These classes meet one time per week. Combination/ Open and Fusion classes combine two or more genres of dance in one class. Other technique classes are offered in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Tumbling, Modern, and Hip Hop. While these subjects serve as building blocks for dance development, Encore teachers incorporate Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Lyrical into many of the classes to enhance the classroom learning experience.
COSTUMES
Costume deposits of $100 are due in October for regular students and September for company members. The average cost of each costume is $85 and the balance of each will be applied in January. All combo classes will receive two costumes. Costumes cannot be ordered for those who have a balance after October 15th. We are happy to place an order for you after the initial ordering, however, extra charges will be applied. These fees include $15 processing, $8 shipping and $15 rush feesper costume. We require the account be paid in full before we can process the order. We also regret that costumes ordered late may not be in on time for spring group/individual pictures.
FEES AND REGISTRATION
Registration is paperless and is done via the website. The family registration fee is $50 for one student, $65 for two, $75 for three and $80 for families who have four or more students. The registration fee is automatically billed to your account upon enrollment. Go to encoreperformancecompany.com, click on register and fill out accordingly. You may visit the website at your convenience to check your balance and change personal information such as phone numbers or your address. You may also add certain classes throughout the course of the year. Class rates are $72 per hour/ month. 1 1/2 hour classes are $105.50 per month. Students enrolled in three or more classes will receive a multi class discount of 20% per hour class hour beginning with 3rd class. Additional siblings are discounted at ½ price each.
SHOWCASE
Our year-end showcase is held at the beginning of May at the BJCC Concert Hall. This year‐end production will feature performances from all Encore students, except those in tumbling and/or cheer. For those who choose to participate, there is a $15 performance fee per student. Each family will additionally be charged a $100 recital fee which includes family show tickets to the performance and a link to download the full showcase video as part of this studio-wide bulk pricing.
