Congratulations Student of the week Ali Blair! Ali is a seven year old who is totally plugged-in. She attends Coosa Valley Elementary School in Pell City. She makes nearly all A’s with an occasional B. Her favorite subject is math. Ali just finished fall ball (fast pitch softball). She was selected to play on the All-Star team for the past two spring seasons. Her church activities at First Baptist Church of Pell City include children’s choir, GA’s and Illuminate. She travels frequently with her family.

Ali has been dancing for 5 years. She loves “Dancing with the Stars” and always wants her mom or grandfather to dance with her and imitate the “Stars.” She is very creative and improvises her own steps, twirls and dips into the routines. Ms. Jennifer, her dance teacher, gets Ali to perform her best in learning and performing the real dance routines. The Encore Showcase is her favorite event when she is up on stage all dressed up and ready to perform. It’s showtime!

Congratulations Student of the Week Julianna Moreno!
Julianna is 15 years old and a sophomore at Mortimer Jordan High School. This is her 3rd year of Encore Company and her 14th year of dance. Her favorite style of dance is Lyrical. Julianna was excited to attend her first national competition in Chicago and is proud to be a part of the National Champion Team .
Julianna is a member of the Devilette dance team and concert band. When she is not dancing she enjoys playing the piano. Julianna volunteers for the Miracle League. Julianna is a wonderful big sister to her 2 sisters and brother. Julianna plans attend Auburn University and major in Education and continue her work with special needs children.

Maddie is in 4th grade at Vestavia Hills Elementary Central. She enjoys playing soccer, football and softball. Her favorite hobbies are reading and of course DANCING! Madeline has been recognized at her school for outstanding character, straight A’s and is on the Earth Awareness comittee. This holiday season Maddie is juggling her Encore competitive dance classes along with her Nutcracker rehearsals and shows with the Alabama Ballet. Maddie says one day she wants to be a doctor, lawyer and Radio City Rockette all AT THE SAME TIME! If you ask her mommy what she thinks about that, she’ll say “I bet she can”. Everyone else who knows Maddie all agree her true calling is to one day be a comedian!

Erika is a freshman at Vestavia Hills High School . In addition to her many dance commitments she is a straight A Honor Student Erika is the youngest of three children . O.J. is a first year law student and Janelle is a senior at the University of Alabama majoring in dance and nutrition.
The one thing that most people do not know about Erika is that she used to be very very shy. Encore, hard work , and the amazing friendships that she has developed over the years have all contributed to her confidence, desire and ability to achieve her dreams.
